French police have arrested two brothers, aged 21 and 25, in northern France on suspicion of operating an internet platform that allegedly sold stolen intimate images of over 17,000 women and girls. The platform, known as NudeLeaksTeens, sourced content through hacking social media accounts, grooming, and revenge porn.
Paris prosecutor Laure Beccuau stated that investigators seized approximately €700,000 ($782,530) in cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and USDT, from the brothers. The investigation involved collaboration between French and US police and judicial authorities, leading to the closure of three associated websites: nlthub.pk, nltvids.com, and nudeleaksteens.com.
According to reports, users of the platform were encouraged to provide identifying information about the victims in exchange for cryptocurrency rewards. The victims, of various nationalities and including minors, were reportedly cataloged with details such as age, location, profession, and a "beauty" rating. The French cybercrime unit has called on victims to come forward.
