Four out of five banks that responded to Risk.net's latest Enterprise Risk Benchmarking exercise indicated that they had breached their risk appetite thresholds at least once in the past 12 months. The survey, which involved 31 banks, also found that institutions reporting no breaches typically operated with narrower risk appetite frameworks, despite having similar governance mechanisms in place.
