Deutsche Bank's private banking division is not planning to expand into the mass affluent market, according to the head of its private bank for the US and Europe international. The German lender will maintain its focus on high net worth (HNW) and ultra-high net worth (UHNW) individuals, a strategy that differentiates it from other banks looking to serve a broader client base.
In parallel, Deutsche Bank is strengthening its services for UHNW clients by integrating Deutsche Oppenheim Family Office AG and other specialists into a new unit. This move aims to consolidate and enhance advisory services for complex wealth matters. Raffael Gasser, Head of Wealth Management Germany, stated that this expansion aligns the Wealth Management business more consistently with the specific needs of different client groups, particularly those with entrepreneurial assets supported by family offices.
