Bitfinex Securities has expanded its tokenized securities marketplace by listing notes tied to Strategy and Metaplanet, two publicly traded companies that hold Bitcoin as a treasury asset. These new products allow eligible investors to gain economic exposure to the performance of each company's shares without directly owning the underlying stock.
The Strategy Note, trading under the CMSTR ticker, tracks Strategy's Class A common stock, with each full note backed by 100 Strategy shares. Additionally, Bitfinex Securities listed STRCst, providing exposure to Strategy's Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock, backed by one STRC share.
The Metaplanet Note, trading under CMPTL, follows a similar structure, with each full note backed by 100 Metaplanet common shares. Metaplanet is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange under ticker 3350. Fractional trading is available for CMPTL notes.
Investors can trade these notes against US dollars, Tether's USDT, and Bitcoin. The products are issued by ORO (II), a Luxembourg securitization fund managed by SICOS Securities, with underlying shares held in custody by regulated financial institutions. The notes operate on the Liquid Network under the oversight of El Salvador's Comisión Nacional de Activos Digitales, incorporating identity verification and anti-money laundering requirements.
This launch marks what Bitfinex Securities calls the first tokenized securities of Bitcoin treasury companies available for secondary trading on a regulated exchange. Alongside Strategy and Metaplanet, the platform also added tokenized notes for Sweden's H100 Group and France's Capital B, bringing the total of Bitcoin treasury products to five. The platform's total listed assets now exceed $500 million, with plans to introduce a gold yield fund, private credit notes for Bitcoin mining, and a tokenized US money market fund.
