Bitcoin Suisse, a crypto financial services firm founded in Zug in 2013, plans to relocate up to half of its Swiss workforce abroad as part of its global expansion strategy. The move could affect approximately 60 of the company's 120 Swiss-based employees, primarily in back-office and administrative roles, according to a report by Finews.
The affected functions are expected to be moved to lower-cost international hubs in Bratislava and Vietnam, with plans to establish a new location in Vietnam in the coming years. CEO Andrej Majcen told Finews that operating these services in the new locations would be significantly less expensive, emphasizing that cost was a key factor in the decision. Majcen clarified that the restructuring is not a reaction to weakness in the crypto market but rather a strategic move to build a broader wealth and asset management business.
