Wealthy individuals are making substantial financial contributions to US midterm election campaigns, with a Business Insider review of federal data revealing nearly $849 million in donations. Among the top donors are financier George Soros and his family, who have collectively contributed over $103.3 million. This includes $62 million from Geosor to Democracy PAC and $50 million from The Fund for Democracy to the same super PAC. George Soros himself has directly donated just under $1 million to national Democratic Party committees.
Wall Street veteran Jeff Yass has donated approximately $95.3 million, with significant support going to V-PAC: Victors, Not Victims, and conservative groups like Club for Growth Action and its affiliated School Freedom Fund. Yass, a cofounder of Susquehanna International Group, is also known for his and his company's stakes in TikTok.
