Anthropic reported third-quarter revenue of $16.96 billion, up 1,127% from $1.38 billion a year earlier, and a net loss of $23.29 billion, down from $66.3 billion in the second quarter, in an amended IPO prospectus dated November 2, 2026. Revenue rose 47% from $11.6 billion in the second quarter.
The company swung to an operating loss of $567 million from operating income of $974 million in the second quarter. Anthropic said the cause was $5.0 billion of compute bought under short-term commitments, which it said currently costs significantly more than compute under its multi-year contracts, and $2.0 billion of non-cash charges from its employee donation matching program. Adjusted operating income rose to $2.5 billion from $2.2 billion, while the adjusted operating margin fell from 19% to 15%.
The net loss came mostly from a $21.9 billion non-cash charge for the higher value of its convertible notes, derivatives and SAFEs, or simple agreements for future equity. Anthropic had $95.6 billion of cash and $36.3 billion of short-term investments on September 30.
The amended filing still leaves the price range and the number of shares blank. Anthropic plans to list its Class A shares on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker ANT. The company filed its initial registration statement the previous week.
