An EF2 tornado was recorded in Huanggang city, damaging buildings and a logistics company. Tornadoes are unusual for the inland Hubei region. Meanwhile, record-breaking rain from Maysak caused widespread flooding in the southern Guangxi region, killing four people and leaving eight missing, prompting the evacuation of over 53,000 people in Hengzhou city.
