Russian forces conducted artillery bombardments on the northeastern Ukrainian city of Sumy on the morning of June 12. These strikes were part of broader attacks across Ukraine over the past day, resulting in at least six civilian deaths and 52 injuries, according to regional authorities.
In Sumy, six residents were injured by artillery fire in broad daylight. This marks the third artillery attack on the city this year. Additionally, drone attacks in front-line areas of Sumy Oblast killed two people and injured ten.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported intercepting 102 out of 117 long-range attack drones, including Shahed-type drones. Fourteen impacts were recorded across seven different locations.
In Donetsk Oblast, two people were killed and four injured as Russian forces intensified efforts to capture Kostiantynivka. Zaporizhzhia Oblast, another frontline hotspot, saw two people killed and three injured amid attacks on 44 settlements.
Further casualties included 13 injured in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, eight in Kherson Oblast, five in Mykolaiv Oblast, and three in Kharkiv Oblast, with children among the injured in both Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions.
