A man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident where a vehicle struck multiple pedestrians on Ealing Broadway in west London on Saturday afternoon. Timir Ahmed Mohamed, 34, faces five counts of attempted murder, along with charges of dangerous driving, failing to stop, failing to provide a breath specimen for analysis, and criminal damage. The Metropolitan Police confirmed the charges on Sunday. Five pedestrians were injured in the incident; two received treatment at the scene, while three were taken to hospital. Their injuries were assessed as non-life-threatening and non-life-changing. Mohamed, described as a Somalia-born British man, has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Monday. Although counter-terrorism policing London conducted initial inquiries due to the nature of the incident, it is not being treated as terrorism. Road closures were in place in the area while the investigation progressed.
