Janasena Party Eyes Southern Expansion, Backs Modi on Delimitation

During a meeting in Delhi themed 'Janasena's Journey for National Integration,' party leaders outlined their vision. JSP Political Affairs Committee Chairman and Andhra Pradesh Food Minister Nadendla Manohar stated that while regional aspirations are key, the party's ideological thread across the South will be nationalism and patriotism. He emphasized that Janasena aims to provide a platform for young leadership, acknowledging that each state will require a distinct approach.

Manohar dismissed comparisons to actor Vijay's political party, stating that Kalyan has long championed youth issues. Founded in 2014, Janasena currently has a significant presence in Andhra Pradesh with three MPs, 21 MLAs (including three ministers), and three MLCs, and claims a membership of approximately 21 lakh.

Regarding delimitation, a sensitive issue for several southern states concerned about potential shifts in parliamentary representation, Janasena stated it would align with the NDA's collective position under Modi's leadership. The Delhi meeting was attended by Kalyan, party MPs, MLAs, and other office-bearers. Kalyan is also scheduled to meet with Union ministers to discuss Andhra Pradesh-related projects.
