Tensions build as US and China discuss trade ahead of Trump-Xi showdown

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and China’s Vice Premier He Lifeng held talks in New York. The two discussed economic and trade relations ahead of an upcoming meeting between US President Donald Trump and China’s President Xi Jinping later this week.
