Greenland responds to new US military deal

Denmark and Greenland say a new military agreement with the United States will not compromise Greenland’s sovereignty. The clarification follows US President Donald Trump’s claim Washington would gain “permanent control” over the territory’s security. According to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the deal “permanently and completely” addresses America’s national security concerns in Greenland.
