News24 host Danica De Giorgio reacts to news comedian Ricky Gervais is debating marrying his long-term partner of 40 years to avoid a 40 per cent tax on their net worth. “I think it’s absolutely ridiculous, but I am such a traditionalist, I really truly believe that you marry someone for love and love only,” Ms De Giorgio said. “I do not agree just getting married to somebody for the sake of tax or for the sake of money. “I think this opens up a broader discussion about why people get married. Do you get married for love or are there other reasons?”
