Germany rethinks sinister laws criminalising insults against politicians

News24 host Rita Panahi reacts to Germany’s decision to rethink its laws which protect politicians from insults. “This illiberal law in Germany that penalises citizens who insult politicians,” Ms Panahi said. “There have been investigations of people who mocked the Chancellor, called him Pinocchio and a liar. “There are now efforts to change these laws.”
