Former White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney believes Republicans have the edge in the Michigan Senate race, arguing that the Democratic candidate’s socialist message could drive away centrist voters. “Mike Rogers is the Republican candidate in Michigan who will be running against now the Democrat candidate El-Sayed," Mr Mulvaney told News24. “The Republicans did get the Democrat candidate that they want. “They’re counting on this Democrat socialist message to turn off enough centrist sort of voters to either get them to not vote for Sayed or switch and vote for a Republican. “The Republicans probably have an upper hand there.”
