News24 US Analyst Michael Ware reacts to former Australian ambassador to the US Joe Hockey’s claim of “flourishing” corruption in Washington DC. “We’re seeing what many feel is corruption abounds; at the very least, this is in grey areas,” Mr Ware told News24. “Whether it’s the donation of a Qatari airliner for President Trump’s personal use as Air Force One, the president making $2 billion from various ventures, from the president creating a cryptocurrency called stablecoin, then just months later passing legislation to benefit. “We’ve been so used to this kind of double dealing. “At the very least, you would say that the president is very much personally profiting in the grey zone.”
