Democrats ABANDON Ilhan Omar in droves over congresswoman's troubling fraud claims

Dozens of House Democrats declined to sign a letter defending Ilhan Omar as a federal investigation into her immigration history intensifies. While 175 Democrats backed the letter, roughly 40 members of the caucus kept their names off the public show of support. Among those absent were Nancy Pelosi and lawmakers from politically sensitive districts in New York, New Jersey and Washington. The letter accused the Trump administration of weaponising law enforcement after federal agents searched Omar’s Washington home. Democratic leaders argued the timing could influence voters just days before the midterms and demanded further action be halted. Not signing does not mean those lawmakers support the probe, but it highlights hesitation around publicly aligning with Omar.
