Coalition backed to crack down on disgraceful Australian flag burning

Political Commentator Ro Knox backs federal penalties for burning the Australian flag, arguing Australians would reasonably expect there to be at least a fine for desecrating a symbol that represents the nation. “I think it’s a really good idea to be looking at these offences at a federal level,” Ms Knox told News24 host Jaimee Rogers. “We should be looking at all the symbols that represent Australia. “Most Australians would probably think there is at least a fine for burning the flag.”
