Bowen erupts over foreign investment question in fiery parliament clash

Climate Change and Energy Minister Chris Bowen sharply rebuked Member for Wide Bay Llew O’Brien after being questioned about taxpayer funds allocated to foreign companies through the investment scheme. “I particularly appreciate the notice the Opposition gave on the front page of The Australian today," Mr Bowen said during Question Time on Monday. “Who says the Coalition on Monday will launch a parliamentary attack on Labor's … scheme? “Given it's the first time the Opposition has asked me a question since April, it’s a big deal, and you have to flag it on the front page.”
