Labor have used ‘out of control’ migration to cover up their ‘economic failings’: Jane Hume

​Deputy Liberal Leader Jane Hume says Labor has used an “out of control” migration program to cover up their own “economic failings”. ​“Simply increasing the number of migrants in order to prop up economic growth, that’s not an economic plan, that’s a Ponzi scheme,” Ms Hume told News24. ​“We want to see productivity prop up economic growth, and the only way you do that is through lowering taxes, lowering energy prices, cutting red tape, adopting new technology. ​“These are the ways that you can drive productivity to make sure that you drive economic growth, not simply using an out-of-control program to cover up your own economic failings; that’s what Labor have done for the past four years.”
