Some outdoor fitness classes in Singapore go on as planned despite haze

Some outdoor fitness classes are going on as planned, despite the haze looming over Singapore. One organiser said the one-hour PM2.5 reading is more accurate in deciding if classes should proceed. That's despite the 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) entering the unhealthy range for all parts of the country. Sport Singapore, which manages the country's sports facilities, has a haze management plan in place. It will close outdoor facilities if the 24-hour PSI reading exceeds 200. However, one doctor says the best gauge for immediate outdoor activities is the one-hour PM2.5 reading. Eugene Chow reports.
