A political standoff in Pakistan is disrupting daily life in capital Islamabad. Commuters, traders and transport operators say they are facing difficulties as tight security measures remain in place ahead of a planned protest by former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party next week. Hundreds of shipping containers have been placed around the city. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party thinks the government may either be forced to remove these roadblocks as they are restricting the movement of people, or keeping the containers in place could only increase the public's frustrations with the government.
