Pocket-sized rentals: Some tenants trade living space for lower rents and convenient locations

How small a room would you be willing to live in, if the price and location are right? So-called “pocket rooms” in Singapore can go for between S$500 and S$900 a month. Industry players say they're chosen to keep costs down, while allowing renters to continue to stay in well-connected locations. Still, these tiny rooms are raising questions about what spaces can legally be rented out and just how small is too small.
