Philippines Bangsamoro election: Parliamentary polls end in historic exercise in Muslim Mindanao

Most voting precincts in southern Philippines have closed in the first parliamentary election for the Bangsamoro Autonomous region. At least four people died in poll-related violence. More than a dozen were wounded. Police say, the situation is under control despite reported shootings and explosions. More than 20,000 security personnel have been deployed across the region, with quick response teams also on standby. More than two million people are eligible to cast their ballot for 80 parliamentary seats. The election is the culmination of several decades of negotiations between government and rebels in Muslim Mindanao. Jhesset Enano reports from Manila.
