New 1,000 seater Theatre at Tanglin fills a missing middle gap: Arts groups

The new performing arts 1,000-seater Theatre at Tanglin has been described as “filling a missing middle” and a place that could maybe turn shows into profits. Singapore currently has venues that host around 600 people. The bigger ones can seat from 1,600 to 2,000 people. Arts groups Muhammad Bahajjaj spoke with share what kind of performances they think will be ideal for the new theatre, set to be completed by 2030.
