Economists have sharply raised Singapore's growth forecast for this year to 5%, up from 3.5% previously. The upgrade comes after a strong tech cycle helped boost first-half performance. Singapore's economy expanded 5.9% year-on-year in the second quarter. That’s well above the 4.3% economists had forecast in the central bank's quarterly survey. Germaine Wong reports.
