Eyewitness captures near-miss of Singapore Airlines plane at Perth Airport

Dramatic eyewitness footage has appeared of a Singapore Airlines plane's near-miss on the runway at Perth Airport in Australia on Saturday (Oct 31). While SQ213 was coming in to land, its wing appeared very close to hitting the runway. Facebook user Chris Perry shared video of the incident, captioning it: "“My sister’s plane almost crashes on landing". He also wrote that high winds caused the flight to perform a go-around. The pilots later found a "gap in the gusts" and were successful in a second attempt on landing, according to Perry. "Glad to have my sister here with us ... for a moment our hearts were in our mouths," he added. Flight data showed the Airbus A350-900 landed on its second attempt at around 12.35pm.
