Jeremy Corbyn calls for UK arms halt as Israel tensions escalate

Former Labour leader and independent UK MP Jeremy Corbyn has criticised the growing diplomatic dispute between Britain and Israel following the UK’s decision to ban goods from illegal Israeli settlements. Israel responded by banning 11 British MPs from entering the country, a move Corbyn described as an attempt to prevent British politicians from seeing conditions in Gaza and the occupied West Bank. Corbyn supports the UK’s restrictions on settlement goods but says the government should go further by ending arms exports and military cooperation with Israel.
