Protests have led to clashes with police, the deployment of border guards and the temporary shutdown of more than 500 factories. In a live report from Dhaka, Al Jazeera correspondent Tanvir Chowdhury describes the unrest. Human rights lawyer Taqbir Huda discusses why workers say the government's wage board has failed to account for rising living costs, and examines the role of Western fast-fashion brands in driving down production prices and putting pressure on workers.
