The World Bank announced on Thursday that David Vaillant has been appointed as its new managing director and chief financial officer. Vaillant succeeds Anshula Kant, who previously held the position of Managing Director and World Bank Group Chief Financial Officer. Kant was responsible for financial management, reporting, and risk management, and the mobilization of IDA and other financial resources. She also spearheaded reforms and financial innovations to enhance the institution's efficiency and expand its financial capacity. Kant has over 35 years of experience in banking, including her previous roles at the State Bank of India.
