Ukraine, Germany Sign Anti-Ballistic Capabilities Deal

Speaking at a meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group, also known as the Ramstein group, Zelenskiy emphasized the ongoing threat posed by Russian ballistic missiles and called for concrete outcomes from the collaborative efforts by winter. He urged Western allies to join the initiative, stating that enhanced anti-ballistic defence is a necessity for all involved, not just Ukraine.

In addition to the anti-ballistic capabilities, Zelenskiy reiterated Ukraine's urgent need for long-range artillery and unmanned vehicles, and also sought the development of long-term financial instruments to support the Ukrainian army. German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius confirmed that several German companies have shown interest in participating in the TerMIT production project, which is slated to occur in Germany. Fire Point, a prominent Ukrainian missile and drone manufacturer, is also involved in the initiative.
