Key facts
- A written objection within 30 days bars the venue from listing a third-party tokenized version of that stock, per the SEC order.
- The objection applies only to OKXICE TSV and does not block the venue from listing shares issuers tokenize themselves.
- OKXICE TSV is a 50-50 joint venture between Intercontinental Exchange, owner of the NYSE, and OKX's U.S. holding company.
- The venue plans 24/7 trading of tokenized US stocks through permissioned Uniswap v4 pools on OKX's XLayer blockchain, paired with stablecoins such as USDC.
- Traders must pass identity and sanctions checks and hold a nontransferable soulbound token verified by the venue's smart contracts before each transaction.
- Apple is among the few megacap names not on the objector list, according to the notice.
Tesla and SpaceX were among six companies that objected to trading of third-party tokenized versions of their shares on the planned OKXICE TSV venue, according to an updated notice the venue dated November 2, 2026. Amazon, Netflix, Lam Research and SoFi Technologies were the other new objectors, bringing the total to 56 companies.
The roster has grown quickly. Nine objectors appeared in the venue's October 15 notice, 38 by October 28 after Walmart joined, and 50 in the October 30 notice, when Nvidia, Costco and Nike led the largest batch. Amazon, Tesla and Netflix join Microsoft, Alphabet and Nvidia among megacap holdouts, while Apple is one of the few megacap names still missing from the list.
Under the SEC's innovation exemption, which the agency unveiled in September after the Clarity Act stalled in the Senate, a venue must notify a company before offering a version of its shares tokenized by an unaffiliated third party. If the company objects in writing within 30 days, the venue cannot make that stock available for trading, according to the SEC's order. The objection applies only to that venue.

The notice says the venue can also list shares tokenized by the issuers themselves, though it does not identify any, and that tokenized stocks it offers are not restricted to trading on OKXICE alone.
