South Korea's monthly exports reached a record high in June, surpassing the $100 billion mark for the first time, driven by robust global demand for semiconductors. Outbound shipments surged 70.9 percent year-on-year to $102.25 billion, according to data released by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources. Imports also saw a significant increase, rising 30.1 percent year-on-year to $66.1 billion. This surge in exports, coupled with increased imports, resulted in a substantial trade surplus of $36.15 billion for the month.
