Snap Inc. said Wednesday that paid subscriptions across its Snapchat products passed 30 million, an increase of 5 million since February, when the company reported crossing 25 million. The disclosure came in Snap's third-quarter 2026 earnings release, according to a TechCrunch report published November 4, 2026.
"We surpassed 30 million paid subscribers across Snapchat+, Memories Storage, and Lens+," CEO Evan Spiegel said in a letter to investors. Snapchat+ launched in 2022 at $3.99 per month for exclusive and pre-release features. Snap later added Lens+ at $8.99 per month for exclusive Lenses and augmented reality experiences and Snapchat+ Platinum at $15.99 per month for an ad-free experience.
The paid base remains small relative to Snap's audience. Snap reported 495 million daily active users for the quarter, up from 493 million in the previous quarter but below analysts' expectation of 499 million. Shares fell 12% after the company missed estimates for advertising revenue and user growth.
Spiegel said advertising revenue growth remains below the company's target and that Snap plans to prioritize advertiser performance and ways for businesses to reach users. The investor letter said Snap does not intend to optimize Snapchat around daily use at the expense of long-term value for its community.
The subscriber milestone follows Snap's 2025 limit on free storage for its Memories feature, which required users to pay $1.99 per month for additional storage or subscribe to Snapchat+ to retain their Memories.
