An attack on King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, on Wednesday evening killed one resident and injured eight others, the General Authority of Civil Aviation said. The statement said material damage was being assessed. The Houthis have claimed responsibility for a series of attacks on Saudi airports in recent days, including strikes on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Abha International Airport, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Jazan, and Najran Airport. The Saudi-led coalition vowed retaliation and said it had attacked more than 80 Houthi military sites. The attacks have disrupted civil aviation and come amid intensified fighting in Yemen, particularly around the Bab el-Mandeb strait.
