At least 18 people were killed in an attack by the Houthi movement on a Yemeni government military training camp in Shabwa province on Monday, four government and medical sources told Reuters. The attack occurred amid renewed clashes in Yemen, raising concerns about a potential return to full-scale conflict. The Shabwa Defense Forces stated they carried out drone strikes on Houthi positions on the Harib, Ain, Bayhan and Upper Marib fronts, causing human and material losses. This operation was launched in response to a Houthi drone attack that killed a government soldier. Separately, the Yemeni army reported that a "large number" of Houthi fighters had been killed or injured in drone strikes it conducted in Taiz province.
