Samsung Wallet is set to integrate USDC transfer capabilities into its payment application for eligible users in the United States during the final week of October. The feature, which also extends to Samsung Pay, will be available on 82 million compatible Galaxy devices. Users will be able to send Circle's USDC stablecoin across borders on the Solana blockchain, with built-in fiat on- and off-ramps for local currency conversion. Transfers to external crypto wallets will be free, while international bank transfers will incur fees. The Solana Foundation announced the partnership, highlighting Solana's infrastructure operating "behind the scenes." Samsung had previously announced stablecoin support in July but did not name an issuer, blockchain, or launch date at the time. Additional markets are expected to follow the US launch, subject to local regulatory requirements.
