The attacks resulted in damage to residential buildings and the historic Assumption Cathedral within the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, a significant religious and cultural site in Ukraine. Kyiv's Patriot air defense systems intercepted 15 of the 19 ballistic missiles aimed at the capital, as well as five out of six 3M22 "Zirkon" missiles. Hours after the strike, the Ukrainian national anthem was played from the Great Lavra Bell Tower.
