Laura Brand, wife of comedian Russell Brand, testified at his rape trial on Wednesday, describing him as a "wonderful father" and "amazingly attentive husband." She told Southwark crown court that while they had previously split due to his promiscuity, their current relationship is frank and honest. Brand, 51, denies seven charges of rape and sexual assault against six women spanning from 1999 to 2009. Laura Brand recounted meeting him in 2006 and their initial relationship, which broke down in February 2007 because of his infidelity. They rekindled their romance in 2015 and married two years later, now having three children together. The judge and prosecutor objected when Brand's barrister attempted to question Laura about the truth of the criminal allegations.
