Pump.fun, a platform known for memecoin trading, has launched perpetual futures contracts for Bitcoin and Ethereum, utilizing the decentralized trading infrastructure of Hyperliquid. This integration allows eligible users to trade leveraged crypto contracts without owning the underlying assets, with Bitcoin offering up to 40x leverage and Ethereum up to 25x. Hyperliquid's HyperCore system manages order matching, margin balances, funding payments, and liquidations, while Pump.fun provides the user interface. The move follows the discovery of perpetual trading data in Pump.fun's API on October 9, sourced from Hyperliquid. This partnership builds on a previous integration where Pump.fun added support for HyperEVM in August. In late September, Pump.fun surpassed Hyperliquid in weekly revenue, generating $15.16 million compared to Hyperliquid's $15.06 million.
