PulteGroup has opened The Grow, a 1,200-acre community on Orlando's eastern edge planned for roughly 2,200 homes around a 9-acre working farm, the company's sales manager Patrick McNamara told HousingWire TBD. The grand opening was held in late September 2026.
The plan reserves just over half of the site from development, including wetlands, conservation areas and shared green space. McNamara said the preserved land and mature trees are among the community's selling points, with hundreds of 100-year-old oaks kept as focal points.
A third-party company will manage the working farm, and residents will be able to volunteer and buy produce at a resident-only general store planned as the anchor of a commercial street with about 170,000 square feet of retail and commercial space. Two smaller farms, a demonstration farm of about an eighth of an acre and a community farm, will support a program called Seed the Table.
Homes are priced from the low $400,000s to the high $800,000s. McNamara said the community has sold more than 100 homes since pre-sales began about six months before November 6, 2026, and that the team uses incentives including mortgage rate buydowns to complete sales.
The Orlando metro area's population grew nearly 80% between 2000 and 2025, from 1.64 million to 2.95 million, according to the report.
