Paramount Pictures is developing a live-action film set in the universe of CD Projekt RED's video game "Cyberpunk 2077," according to a report by Deadline. The news sent shares of the Polish game developer up 3% in early Friday trading.
Michal Nowakowski, joint-CEO of CD Projekt RED, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership on social media platform X, stating, "We're excited about Paramount as a future partner who shares our creative ambitions for the Cyberpunk franchise." He added that more details would be shared at the appropriate time. CD Projekt RED confirmed to Reuters that it had no further comment beyond Nowakowski's post. Paramount Pictures did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
