Imad Ishtayeh, a 26-year-old Palestinian man, was killed by Israeli forces near the concrete barrier separating the occupied West Bank from Jerusalem. His family reported that his attempt to cross into Israel was driven by a need to find work due to severe economic hardship in the Palestinian territory. His father, Haroun Ishtayeh, told RT that his son had to close his chicken slaughterhouse business because people could not afford to buy chicken, barely affording water. Despite warnings about the danger, Imad expressed that he would die regardless of where he was. The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed his death on Sunday, and Israeli police stated he was attempting to enter Israel illegally.
