Pakistan military helicopter crash kills all aboard

A Pakistan Army Aviation Mi-17 helicopter crashed near Muzaffarabad in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, killing all 22 personnel on board. The military stated that a technical fault was the apparent cause, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances. The deceased included a colonel and two army majors. Senior government and military officials, including regional Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, attended a mass funeral ceremony for the victims, where coffins draped in the national flag were observed. The soldiers had been traveling to carry out security duties following a call for a march on Muzaffarabad by a recently banned alliance.
