Open Real Estate, a new national residential real estate data-sharing initiative, has been launched by AGNT, HomeServices of America, Keller Williams Realty, and Real REMAX Group. The initiative aims to streamline the distribution of property information, expand access to housing inventory, and foster a more open and competitive housing marketplace, without seeking to replace local MLSs. Donny Samson, CEO of RealTrends Verified Samson Properties, and Rob Cleapor, CEO of Iron Valley Real Estate, expressed their support, emphasizing the benefits for consumers and the importance of inter-brokerage cooperation. While acknowledging potential antitrust concerns, participating firms believe the initiative, focused on consumer interests, will navigate these issues. The platform is expected to launch in Q1 2027.
