Neko Health, the health assessment startup co-founded by Spotify's Daniel Ek, has raised $700 million in a Series C funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and O.G. Venture Partners. This latest funding follows a $260 million Series B round in January 2025.
The company utilizes proprietary body-scanning technology combined with bloodwork to assess an individual's health. The scan now includes body composition information and can integrate with Apple Health data to provide clinicians with real-world insights. Neko Health, which currently operates in the UK and Sweden, is preparing to launch its first U.S. location in New York.
More than 100,000 individuals have already undergone scans or are on the waitlist. The service has been credited with early detection of serious conditions, such as a malignant mole found on Calm founder Alex Tew. Meanwhile, AI lab MidJourney is also developing a body scanner integrated into a spa experience, slated for opening in San Francisco in 2027.
Additional investors in Neko Health's Series C round include Atomico, General Catalyst, Lakestar, Liberty City Ventures, Positive Sum, and BDT & MSD.
