Chinese humanoid robot developer LimX Dynamics has raised nearly $200 million in a Series B funding round, bringing its valuation to 15 billion yuan ($2.2 billion). The company plans to use the funds to accelerate research and development and expand its market presence domestically and internationally.
Founded in 2022, LimX Dynamics specializes in full-size, general-purpose humanoid robots and embodied AI, with a mission to bring artificial general intelligence into the real world. Its core technologies include robot hardware design and manufacturing, motion-control foundation models, and a physical-world-native agentic operating system.
The company is developing systems like the TRON 2, a modular robot, and the COSA operating system, which integrates reasoning with whole-body motion control. The Oli humanoid robot, powered by COSA, can interpret instructions, perceive its environment, plan actions, and adjust behaviors in real-time.
Investors in this round include Stone Venture, JD, Oriental Fortune Capital, and CoStone Capital, alongside existing shareholders Shangqi Capital, NIO Capital, and Future Capital.
