A 33-year-old man has been charged with murder following the alleged kidnapping and murder of a 58-year-old woman from Sydney's northwest. The woman's body has not yet been located.
Police were investigating the woman's disappearance after she failed to return home on Tuesday. Family last heard from her on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 4:50 PM, when she stated she was meeting a relative in Winston Hills. Her vehicle was discovered in Winston Hills the following morning.
Detectives arrested the 33-year-old man on Thursday, June 11, 2026, in bushland in Tomerong, south of Nowra, where he was found in a white Toyota Hilux. He was taken to Nowra Police Station and charged with murder. He has been refused police bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, June 12, 2026.
Investigations are ongoing, and police have not yet located the woman's body. A nearby address in Sanctuary Point was also searched.
