President Lee Jae Myung's approval rating increased to 37.3% in a poll released Monday, recovering after a two-week decline. The survey, conducted by Realmeter from October 14-18 among 2,520 adults, found that positive assessments of his job performance rose by 2.1 percentage points from the prior week, while negative assessments fell to 60.4 percent. Realmeter cited livelihood policies and measures against violent crime as reasons for the rebound, though a subsequent stock market decline may have had a dampening effect. In a separate poll, support for the ruling Democratic Party increased to 36.2%, while the opposition People Power Party saw its support drop to 40.9%.
